The Role
Reporting to the COO, the Sales Engineer will support GridMatrix's sales team in its daily operations. You will be responsible for performing internal sales analytics, preparing summary reports and presentations for senior management, demonstrating GridMatrix's software platform and its applications to customer workflows, and representing GridMatrix at conferences nationally. This is the right job for a sharp and quantitative professional that thrives on driving impact from analytics.
Location
This is a hybrid remote-work/in-person role based in Austin, Texas. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations - Internal Ops Analytics
- Quantifying key sales pipeline metrics including CAC, CLV, retention, and sales cycle
- Forecasting revenue, margin, and deal close probability
- Tracking user growth and engagement
- Manage CRM and track deal development through pre-qualified and qualified sales pipelines
- Create presentations summarizing quarterly performance
- Record notes for executive level internal/customer meetings
- Run weekly/monthly/quarterly reports on pipeline development and revenue forecasts
- Create and track quotes for customer deployments
Customer Success - External Sales Analytics
- Demonstrating GridMatrix's platform to customers including data extraction and application via web dashboard, custom report generation, and API pull
- Completing ad-hoc analyses for GridMatrix customers based on given problem statements relating to congestion, signal performance, emissions, and safety on roads, bridges, tunnels, ports, airports, and more
Outbound Customer Development
- Support the development of proposals and RFP responses for GridMatrix software deployment and implementation
- Attend conferences and trade shows nationally as needed to represent GridMatrix as needed

Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in relevant field
- 2+ years previous work experience
- Deeply motivated to help revitalize American infrastructure, enhance public safety and equity, and reduce emissions
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with Hubspot or other CRM
- Experience at a product-focused technology company
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS sales organization
